FileMaker Installation Instructions

For Windows

• Open the Software Center app
• Search for FileMaker
• Click on FileMaker Pro, then click Install
• Go back to Applications window
• Click on FileMaker Pro Hosts, then click Install

For Mac

• Click Save File
• When download is complete download FileMaker Pro License Certificate - Make sure this goes in the same location as the FileMaker Pro 19 Installer
• Click Save File
• When both downloads are complete double click on the downloaded FileMaker Installer file (.dmg)
• Then click on the installer (blue circle with grey arrow)
• Click Continue - when you get the message about downloading from a trusted source, click Continue again
• When you come to the Personalization window – if the installer does not have the License Certificate selected, you can click Browse for Certificate to navigate to it.
• Click Continue and Accept the License Agreement
• Click Install (you may be asked for your network password), click Register Later for the registration window, then Close.

FileMaker Go for iOS Devices

• Download the free FileMaker Go app from App Store.
• Open the app.
• Tap on the Hosts button, then Add Host.
• Type the Host Address (fm.pcsb.org) and Host Name (FM), then click Save
• Click on the server name and select the desired database from the list.
• Enter Network User Name and Password to open.

Note: If no databases show up in your list, make sure you are connected to the PCSB wifi and that there are no typos in the Host Address.
